Tarot of the Orishas

[Oshumare] [Ace of Water] The Orishas are "supernatural beings" of pure energy and vital force. They are important figures in Brazilian Candomble and other practices of African origin. The Tarot of the Orishas by Zolrak integrates these energetic beings into the traditional tarot structure. The 25 primary cards are similar to the major arcana. Some cards have direct counterparts in the major arcana, some are unique to this deck. The minor arcana is represented by 52 cards including: the Ace-10 in four suits (fire, water, air and earth), 4 elemental cards and 4 message cards. There are no court cards. Card titles are in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Each card has a vivid image drawn by artist Durkon. There is a separate companion book for this deck called The Tarot of the Orishas. It gives details on the origins and symbolism of each card.
