Golden Dawn Magical Tarot

[Judgement] [2 of Swords] The Golden Dawn Magical Tarot was designed to fulfill "the traditional symbolic and ritual requirements of the Golden Dawn system of magic." Artist Sandra Tabatha and Chic Cicero created this deck after consulting with Israel Regardie, a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Regardie sought a deck that would truly reflect the profound teachings and esoteric symbolism of the Order - especially meanings drawn from the Qabalistic Tree of Life. Each major arcana card shows the card image, number or key, corresponding Hebrew letter and astrological attribution. Two versions of Temperance are provided to comply with Golden Dawn ritual requirements. Each minor arcana suit represents a certain element - fire, water, air and earth. The numbered pip cards 2-10 have key word meanings. They also correspond to the decanates of the zodiac - the operation of the planets within the twelve signs. The 2 of Swords stands for the Moon in Libra. This deck takes advantage of the flashing colors of the Golden Dawn system. Flashing colors are complimentary (opposites on the color wheel). When viewed together, these color pairs can switch places optically to produce a "flash" or autohynotic effect. This deck was originally published as The New Golden Dawn Ritual Tarot.
